Case Study: Is the QR Code the Death of the GS1 DataMatrix Code? Developments around the globe since Pharma TRACKTS! 2021

In this presentation, we will delve into several key areas of interest. First, we’ll explore the latest advancements in accessing electronic Product Information (ePI) through barcode scanning. Additionally, we’ll share insights on a significant initiative aimed at aiding refugees from Ukraine by providing translations of patient information leaflets (PILs) into the Ukrainian language.

Moreover, we will discuss the challenges we’ve encountered during the rollout of an app designed to make these translated PILs accessible via barcode scanning. Lastly, we’ll reflect on the valuable lessons and experiences gained from this project, which can inform future endeavors in implementing GS1 DataMatrix-based ePI solutions within a country.
